This course is for members of the community who want to learn basic life support skills and save a life.
Who should attend?
Any member of the community wanting to learn basic life support skills. There has recently been a demand for this course from many different industires, particularly from those working in doctor's surgeries.
What is the duration of the course?
It is 2 hour course which aims to establish a competent level of knowledge and skill to administer Basic Life Support.
What does the course cover?
The course includes dealing with a casualty who is not breathing normally and an unconscious breathing casualty.
How is the course assessed?
There is an assessment carried out by the Trainer at the end of the course to ensure competency and all successful learners will receive a certificate of attendance.
What is the maximum number of learners allowed on the course?
There is a maximum of 12 learners allowed on one course.
