Did you know that following a cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR and AED reduces a casualty’s chance of survival by 10%?
This qualification has been designed to provide candidates with the skills needed to administer safe, prompt and effective basic life support and use an AED safely in emergency situations.
How long is the course?
This is a 4 guided learning hour course
What is the maximum number of learners allowed on the course?
There is a maximum of 12 learners allowed on one course.
Can anyone attend?
Learners must be at least 14 on the first day of training.
How are learners assessed?
Assessment consists of:
- Continuous assessment by the trainer on basic life support
- Practical assessment - CPR, use of an AED and Recovery position
